About to start attempt 2

 After about 2 weeks of frustration with sketch-up, and an almost complete (very simply) model, i have learnt to get along with the program, and this is what i have produced... 

This model however, does not really follow my initial sketch, and does not really read architecturally, so i'm going to start a new model, as i am now more directed and understand the process more clearly.  

Problems with this model: 

- No roof (the ceiling of the dome was just impossible to create)

- Visitors to Shinya's Gallery should not have to enter under the building, through this hidden glass stair case.

- The Gallery space and restaurant should have a window between them so that visitors can view each other in opposite spaces

- It seems as though Jiro Ono's space is parasitic to Shinya's space, as it is just hanging on the edge - a window between the 2 spaces would also help prevent this. 

final decision:

I will start a new model from scratch, and work on it until Tuesday 2nd March - so il see you then :)
