Axonometric Projections exploring the interconnection between the two Forms

  Week two

The 2 concept sketches chosen in the previous week were interconnected and then drawn as projections from opposite angles

Aggregate ONE. The space in between is a bridge like structure, protruding from Carlo Scarpa's form, and tucking neatly under Toyo Ito's form.

Aggregate TWO. These two forms have been arranged to maximise height and grandeur, the space in between is not easily definable.

Aggregate THREE. These forms, arranged much like the 1st model, have a conecting bridge between them - but this time the bridge does not seem to belong to either model as it touches both forms equally.
This aggregate has been modified, as two out of the initial 12 prisms were removed - making for a simpler, i think more understandable space.

Conclusion: I have selected aggregate Three to continue working on, i feel this space can most effectively be manipulated to represent both architects, while having a neutral passing space in between.

  1. Sasha,

At this stage, all three have potential to be developed into an interesting piece of architecture. You need to now develop them along with your landscape to really make something out of them. You have to pick one of the above based on how far you have gotten with your landscape and how you think you could really incorporate the two together. You have to remember that these are your design decisions to make.

    Goo luck
